Album Cover Analysis - Katy Perry 'One Of The Boys'

The album cover as a whole is very feminine, with a mostly pink and blue motif.  The font for the artists name is big and pink, in a girlish scrawl front, as is the album name, except that is coloured blue. Katy Perry is also dressed in all blue and pink, a cropped pink bra top, denim blue hotpants and pink wedge heels - all in all, a very provocative outfit. She is even laying on a sunbed looking extremely suggestive as she touches the arm of her sunglasses to her lips.The pink jukebox beside her further suggests that this is infact an album cover.  The location itself is extremely feminine, a luscious green garden with lots of flowers. The garden itself could have connotations of her constantly growing career. The clouds far off in the background could suggest that a part of her is not completely feminine, and that she does indeed have a darker or more masculine side. The title of the album itself 'One Of The Boys' is almost an oxymoron when juxtaposed with the feminine scenery of the album cover.
